How to successfully implement a real estate marketing strategy

Launching yourself in the real estate industry is an important career move. If you’re new at this, you probably need some help to kick start your sales strategy. So where do you start? A key element is getting good exposure and brand solidification. In this case, your brand is characterized by information that connects you to the service you offer, such as your full name, your logo, your slogan and any other piece of information related to you or your service. A strong brand isn’t born overnight. You must understand that it takes a good amount of advertising and communication throughout various media channels to be respected and to gain popularity in the industry. Any established real estate agent who has achieved that, has also developed good social skills. Because a customer is willing to trust you with the sale or purchase of his property, you must communicate wisely and effectively with him. By developing such a skill, along with a good character and an attractive personality, you’re career will eventually benefit from it all. In the meantime, here are some tips you can apply:

  1. Start by targeting your local neighborhood first. Become knowledgeable about market value, house pricing and look for referrals through friends and neighbors.
  2. Setup a budget and advertise yourself through a media channel (Direct mailing with printed products, phone calls, door to door introduction, pass on the word).
  3. Ask and take advice from experienced Realtors. Nothing beats learning from the best in the field.
  4. Get valuable input from your broker.
  5. Show your listing and your sales.

The plastic business card: The trend towards fancy trade cards

I always tend to offer innovative printing solutions to my customers. Over the past year, i have been introduced to a really special product; the plastic business card. Because it’s created from a rigid PVC material and is shaped like a credit card, most people tend to hold on to them much longer than any type of business card. Also, the variety of features you can apply to it are just to sweet to be overlooked. Imagine for a moment having your cards printed in transparent (clear) plastic with your logo hotstamped with a metallic colored foil or having your promotion cards printed on a regular PVC (0.76mm) with a touch of glitter to the colors and a scratch off panel indicating your promotional discount in the back of the card. These are a just a subset of all the possible features you can select from when printing plastic cards. Altough the printing process for these type of cards is slightly complex, there are some important options you need to consider when selecting your plastic card. Here is what to look out for and make sure you understand what these features could bring to the final product:

  • PVC thickness (0.76mm, 0.46mm, 0.30mm)
  • Opacity (Opaque, Clear / Frosted, Frosted)
  • PVC finish (Glossy, Matte, Matte / Rough)
  • Magnetic stripe
  • Glittering effect
  • Scratch off panels
  • Embossing
  • Spot varnish

In the end it’s all about making a different impression. If your cards look great and trendy, they stand out and have a positive effect on your credibility.
